I am on the Sand River Common House team, your question was referred to me… In the two years I’ve been on this team, I have “moved on” several small furniture items that have been donated by past residents, that has been barely noticed as the donors are no longer residents. In the same spirit, our kitchen has been purged of a great deal of excess. (I’m also on our meals team…🙄) Potential large and unsuitable furniture donations are more problematic, I have no good suggestion for that, except to firmly say “no”. We have needed to do this for some very worn out and unattractive large items, it is uncomfortable for everyone, but necessary. We have also donated some beloved (but very uncomfortable) chairs, to make room for something more comfortable. (The grumbling eventually died down…) We have the advantage here of a philosophy that our teams are the last word (mostly) for these types of decisions…best of luck to you, Susie Sent from my iPad
