Hi everyone,

We’re Cascadia Commons, a cohousing community just outside of Portland, OR. 
We’re in the process of selecting patio chairs for our shared outdoor spaces, 
and we’d love your input before we make a decision. Here’s what we’re weighing:

Must-haves:

Stackable for easy storage
One-piece construction (no moving parts to break or pinch fingers)
Durable and sturdy — no plastic components
Lightweight enough to move around easily
Comfortable, accommodating seat width
Repairable or refurbishable rather than disposable

Open questions we’d love your thoughts on:

Fabric vs. no fabric — durability concerns either way
Metal frames — worried about them getting too hot in summer sun
Preassembled or single-formed pieces seem preferable

Budget: No more than $50 apiece

If you have brands, models, or sources in mind — especially ones that check 
these boxes — please share by September 10. We want to make a choice that works 
well for the whole community.
