Cohousing-L Mailing List: Intentional Communities vs. Cohousing

    Can anyone please explain the difffernece between an intentional
community and a cohousing community?  Also, I have been told that the
Quakers set up a cohousing community in Santa Barbara.  How can they set
up a development where they screen based on religion (assuming that they
do)?  How can any intentional community be set up where they screen
residents based on religious criteria? I was under the impression that
this would be deemed illegal.
