Greetings! I and a group of four other families are working on cohousing here in the Durham/Chapel Hill, North Carolina area. We are still very new and are pursuing an urban (we're still defining what this means) and (hopefully) "affordable" community. I have a specific question about membership recruiting and selection. What specific steps does your group have folks take in order to "join" the group? How do you make sure that people know about and understand cohousing? Do you have any kind of "selection" process? (I couldn't find much in the archives on this subject.) I'd appreciate any comments that you have in this area, and would be glad to answer any questions.
