Cohousing-L Mailing List: People purifier

I heard about this woman who built this 100 yard long tubular slippery slide
she called a "people purifier."  Every few yards there was a device mounted
that purified some aspect of the slider's personality.

The first step irradiated the eyeballs and cleansed the pathways from the
eyes to the brain so that clarity of vision was produced.   Kind of like
radial keratotomy for the soul.

A few yards further along, the slider was gently brought to a halt and
exquisitely soft headphones came over the slider's ears and ever so subtlely
and beautifully taught the joys of sensitive listening and the music implicit
in all voices, no matter how raucous or strident they might seem.  Ahhhhhh.

After a gentle push out of the listening area, the slider was jolted rather
abruptly
(just to make sure she/he was awake) in a segment resembling a rock tumbler
which the slider's weight caused to begin to spin.   The centrifugal force
was finely controlled so that only the encumbering garbage of the ego and
ego-based verbalizing was spun out through holes and carefully channelled
into a vat of purifying agent.  Then it wrenched to a halt and spun equally
hard the other way, flinging out all the judgmental thoughts and selfish
inclinations.

Then the slider was allowed some time while sliding to the next station to
meditate and and unscramble his/her remaining thoughts and feelings. 



Then, what happened?  Your turn to post some other segments while the list
server idles a bit.  (Doesn't anybody have something startling or provacative
to say about cohousing?) So, grease up the ol' imagination to generate some
more processes for the people purifier.



Ending:  (maybe?)
So, after sliding a mere hundred yards, presto, out popped a purified human
being who sees, feels, hears, speaks beauty and truth and love for all the
beings on this planet and beyond.
