Dear fellow cohousing enthusiasts,

I have quite mixed feelings about Scott  (and his friend's) response to Mac
Thompson's recent post. Although I agree with Scott absolutely, I am not
pleased with the tone of his post. Another list I read regularly has
recently suffered a very painful few weeks of back and forth ad hominem (and
ad feminem) attacks (during which a slew of good  folks unsubscribed)
engendered by a  very reactionary--and frankly quite stupid---post. Can we
nip this conflict in the bud by responding on coho-l only to the content of
Scott's and Mac's messages. 

Since I agree with Scott,  I have written him personaly expressing my
feelings about this. And since that was a private correspondence, I felt
free to use some pretty strong language in it. I hope that  others here will
write directlyto Scott, or with Mac or both, with the personal stuff, while
you share your beliefs and opinions--and facts, if relevant--with all of us.
