Was it there from the start or amended later? Well, I was invited to sign it (or a slightly different version of it when I joined the group before the CC and R;s were in place. We use the word "required" in it now, but technically it is voluntary. How much do lenders know about it? Nothing. Do you believe it to be enforceable? Probably not. And if so, how? Peer pressure, I guess, but as you well know, how well and appropriately each person particpates is wildly open to interpretation, and we, like most groups, fully expect that some people will participate more than others and most of us don't often get "our knickers in a twist" about someone not doing her or his share.
