I think anyone who isn't a whiteanglomaleprotestant can expect
some degree of 'crap' from others at some point in their lifetime.
I think when a person chooses a lifestyle that's outside the norm
of their local community's belief system, they can certainly
expect some degree of 'crap'.
An interesting thing to watch during this discussion is the
eagerness with which poly people have chosen to 'out'
themselves in a community forum, but then in a very
contradictory manner state to community members that
it's "none of your damn business".

I believe love has many forms, not just romantic/sexual love
that seems to be the primary focus of polyamory. We love our
children. We love our parents. We love our neighbors. Most
people I know love and are loved by many others, do not share
a marriage bed with more than one mate at at time, and do
manage to live fruitful lives.
