Hi Everyone! I'm trying to collect some information on the speed (or lack of speed) of cohousing unit sales. I'm not talking about the lot-development model, in which everyone designs and builds their own house. I'm talking about the build-from scratch model in the time period after the design has been finalized and you've gone out to recruit the last few members. How long a time period was that for you? What were real estate conditions like in the surrounding area? Were you in a rural, suburban or urban area? Did you run into any stiff competition from other housing developments? What were they? What would you have done differently? Any help will be greatly appreciated--replies to the list, or off the list, whatever you feel like. Thanks! --Diane:-) @@ DQS [at] WORLD.STD.COM @@ @@@@ Diane Simpson http://world.std.com/~dqs @@@@ | | COHOUSING NEXUS | | | "| NEXT MEETING:VALENTINES DAY |" | | V| 263 Chestnut Ave. #1 |V | | | Boston, MA 02130-4436 617-522-2209 | | +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
