Mosaic Commons is a cohousing community in the making (planning to
find land and build west of Boston, Massachusetts) which is in its
formative stages. We are at the point where wish to draft appropriate
bylaws and create an LLC. We seek to avoid the kinds of pitfalls that
other groups out there may have encountered in this particular stage
in the process (especially having just read the posting about the
arbitration-related difficulty at Rosewind in a posting here dated
7 Sept.).

We are seeking examples of bylaws so that we might have something from
which to create our own draft. We are also seeking any helpful
commentary on these bylaws that you may wish to share with us about
the background leading to the particular wording you've chosen. If you
care to share your bylaws with us, we'd be very grateful. I look
forward to hearing from some of those on this list who have gone there
before us.
