We have spent a lot of time over the years gathering cohousing resale
information. Many communities have been reluctant to release this
information to us and will only do so on the condition that we not make the
raw data public. If you have a specific need for the resale information or
would like us to talk directly with a bank or appraiser, we would be happy
to help.=20

To the best of our knowledge, we have more resale information on cohousing
than anyone else. We are willing to continue to track this data, but we
could really use some help from the communities to keep the data up to date=
.
The one thing that makes resales tracking feasible is getting the original
sales prices and then updates each time a unit is resold. If you have a
project in process, please send us the original sales prices from the house
closings by address, the number of bedrooms/bathrooms per unit, unit square
footage, and common house square footage. These allow us to compare
different projects by cost per square footage.

Thank you in advance for any help you can offer. We hope these efforts will
go a long way toward demonstrating cohousing=B9s market value over time,
making it easier for new groups to get construction loans and individual
buyers to obtain mortgages.
