Hey all, In my searchings for a web site search utility to temporarily replace the one we were running locally, I ran across Google's free site search. Advantages - free, low maintenance Disadvantages - advertisements, can't control how often it updates That said, if you don't have the ability to run your own search util, it's a good one. We've found that having a website search utility is very very helpful, both for interested folks browsing, but even more so for people participating in the group who want to look up decisions, minutes, agreements, etc. Our search page: http://www.mosaic-commons.org/search/search.php (the php extension is a holdover from the local utility so i don't have to redo the nav, it's not part of Google's form) Info on Google in general: http://www.google.com/services/free.html Hope this is of help to some groups, - catya ____ Catya Belfer-Shevett ____\ / Interested in catya [at] pobox.com \ / \/ Cohousing in MA? www.homeport.org/~catya \/ www.mosaic-commons.org _______________________________________________ Cohousing-L mailing list Cohousing-L [at] cohousing.org Unsubscribe and other info: http://www.communityforum.net/mailman/listinfo/cohousing-l
