a few months ago, i put out a request to the list for a way to get html out 
of my aohell transmissions.  a very kindly person gave me this link:

to a site called:   Unofficial AOL Email FAQ 

the text there *says* you can get html out of your sends by just using the 
default font settings in preferences.  it didn't make any diference to my 
sends, which fred very kindly translates into plain text because he wants 
everyone to be able to contribute to this list.
