I'd prefer to live in a community that just doesn't seem quite as entangled in "rights to bear arms" and other things we have to believe in. In my opinion, cohousing's primary differentiator from communes or the suburban quarter acre block is it's pragmatic approach. Hence, a pragmatic discussion about smoking or guns will have a different, and in my opinion more satisfying outcome than a dogmatic outlook. So, is it foreseeable that someone will be harmed if another person gets a gun? Is is foreseeable that smoking in the common room will detract from the intentions of the common house? regards, Hans Tilstra Melbourne _______________________________________________ Cohousing-L mailing list Cohousing-L [at] cohousing.org Unsubscribe and other info: http://www.communityforum.net/mailman/listinfo/cohousing-l
