Hi, I agree with Rob about not expecting much money from agriculture. However, there are non-cohousing intentional communities out there that have run CSA projects which i presume were reasonably successful: Community Alternatives (BC), Acorn (VA) (now they run an heirloom seed business that is booming, but they dropped the CSA), and i think a family at Shannon Farm (VA) may also have been doing a CSA; i'm sure there are others out there i'm not thinking of. . . . I've met many would-be community founders over the years who have wanted to have both an urban and a rural community going in cooperation with each other, but the only group i've ever seen actually achieve that is the aforementioned Community Alternatives. Ganas in NY tried it for a while but it didn't really work out and they ended up selling the rural place i think.
