We have a "buying club" which once a month places an order with a organic/health food cooperative in Tucson -- I think the frequency is based on how often the cooperative delivers to Salt Lake. People submit their orders to the club secretary. If you want, say, four cans of something that comes in an eight-can case, you can order that. Then the secretary posts an email listing the items to complete any partial case orders -- so many cartons of yogurt, pounds of cheese, bags of veggy chips etc. -- and people email back saying, I'll take all the yogurt, one pound of the raw cane sugar, and two cans of the spinach curry. The secretary posts the delivery date, and anyone who is around helps unload the truck and divide up the order. She does invoices, and the buyers write a check to Wasatch Buying Club.
