One of our personal goals for joining the soon to be completed co-ho project in Calgary, Alberta was affordability and reduced costs for day to day expenditures. We expect that part of affordability will likely include some communal buying to achieve volume discounts, etc. I would welcome comments on how co-hos approach this issue of affordability. Does communal buying work? What do you buy together? How do you work out the reimbursement issues from purchaser to recipient? (e.g. If I buy 40 litres of milk, and give 30 away to fellow unit holders, and someone else purchased laundry soap, how do we balance the books relatively balanced?) Thanks, molly (age 3) and her dad Rob (age > 3). _______________________________________________ Cohousing-L mailing list Cohousing-L [at] cohousing.org Unsubscribe and other info: http://www.cohousing.org/cohousing-L
