Thrift stores always have a big bin of stainless and often they will part with a bunch for a good price just to get rid of it because it doesn't move very well. There are several companies who do nothing but auction off used restaurnat and hotel items, and ebay has a lot of that kind of stuff too. Sysco will be happy to accomodate you if you meet the level of order necessary, I think it's about $500. They have some nice stuff and it's not too expensive. Restaurant supply stores buy from distributors like sysco, then they mark them up to make their profit. It is usually very beneficial to go straight to the source. Also, I found great china cheaply in Chinatown, as well as silver. The chinese patterns make them distinctive so they wouldn't go home too often, and it lends an exotic air to the meals, kind of like eating out without the hassle of driving. ------------------------------------- Susan Pniewski, Esq. You can save a lot of money if all of you diligently go to yard sales, rummage sales, etc. and pick up good pieces of stainless. It's out there! _______________________________________________ Cohousing-L mailing list Cohousing-L [at] cohousing.org Unsubscribe and other info: http://www.cohousing.org/cohousing-L _______________________________________________ Cohousing-L mailing list Cohousing-L [at] cohousing.org Unsubscribe and other info: http://www.cohousing.org/cohousing-L
