Hi Marty,  While I don't have solar anything here in Sebastopol, we did in
San Diego for a number of years.  In fact, we had large solar panels all
over the roof.  The positives are that it does cut your PG&E bill some,
though not substantially, and you, of course, feel good about the ecological
aspects of going solar.  The down side is that the installation price didn't
quite compensate for any real savings over the cost of several years and --
sorry, this is superficial -- they're really quite ugly when they face the
street and you have to hear the frequently vocalized complaints of your La
Jolla neighbors.  Louise R.
