Help- powderpost beetles eating our bamboo floor

Hello
Our unit at Pleasant Hill cohousing, CA has bamboo floors in some areas. Our
floors were installed 2 years ago and no one has any kind of bug problems so
far
Just two days ago we noticed that there were small round exit holes with
fresh 'wood' powder around them in one of the bamboo planks and today I
caught a beetle emerging from one of the holes. Further research on the
internet points to it being a 'powderpost beetle' maybe.

We are trying to find out the contact info for a wood inspector that
understands how important it is for us to remain environmentally friendly
while trying to deal with this bug situation.

Can anyone point me to a source (I was thinking that Berkeley might be a
good place to start but I dont know how to go about finding a inspector
apart from going down a list in the yellow pages)

They are just in one babmboo plank so far and I can see other 'would be'
exit holes in that same plank already. We dont know how this happened since
we just bought the unit a month ago; its quite possible that the larvae came
inside the plank before installation (internet sources say the larvae can
sometimes stay inside the wood for two years)

Thanks in advance
