While anything is possible, I doubt it. Given the low stakes and it would take far more time to just watch the listserve to pick up addresses than to just do a Google search or pick up the Communities Directory.
My house was once robbed in New York and the police only wanted the names of people who had been in the house in the last 2 weeks because they said the kind of robbery it was meant the robber's attention span wasn't any longer.
People have been scamming churches for forever and ministers learn very quickly how to spot a scammer and they still have their doors open to people in need and allow people to join their congregations without doing criminal background checks. We just need to learn how to do the same.
