There was a segment on National Public Radio's All Things Considered news show today about a community in western Massachusetts which sounds a lot like cohousing tho it has a special purpose. >From their web site: Treehouse at Easthampton Meadow is an intergenerational, planned community for families who adopt children from foster care and elders who wish to be "extended family members". A commitment to children Treehouse at Easthampton Meadow is a neighborhood where children will find not just parents and a permanent, loving home, but also "honorary grandparents", friends and an entire community designed to support children whose lives have been impacted by foster care.
