We had pea gravel for several years. It works because the space it is in is
sort of a bowl and mostly the gravel stays put. It does break falls nicely
and was not too expensive by the truck load. We did institute a no throwing
pea gravel rule.

So how well does the pea gravel work? Any complaints from kids or their
parents?
Our play space committe is trying to figure out what to put under our play
structure - it has been tan bark, but the kids get the occasional splinters.
Pea gravel has been a consideration.
Any thoughts?
