Hi,
Tree, How can you ask someone to leave since they own their unit? Or is it that you can ask them to leave, but they don't have to comply legally? Cyndy Sheldon (Orcacohowa--new group in Bellingham)
Right. Legally they don't have to go, but in reality they almost always will, though not always as quickly as the rest of the group wishes they would.
The original query was regarding a start-up group, there are no units yet. In that case it is even more likely that someone who is asked to leave will voluntarily withdraw.
Please understand that this is not something i am advocating should be done lightly or frequently. Asking someone to go is a big deal under any circumstance. But i have heard of a few cases over the years where, after much group consideration, this happened, and as far as i could tell it seemed appropriate.
