Cohousing-L Mailing List: Free Homestay in California Cohousing April 13-30

My friend and I are going to Australia for two plus weeks in 
April  (13th-30th) and I'd like to offer a potential cohouser 
(individual, couple or small family) the chance to experience 
cohousing in exchange for taking care of my sweet little miniature 
poodle during that time Swan's Market Cohousing is the most urban 
cohousing community in North America. It's right downtown in Oakland, CA.

 We are 2 blocks from the BART (subway) station. (BART will take you 
under the Bay to downtown San Francisco in 12 minutes,) and we are 
walking distance from the Oakland Museum and Jack London Square, and 
just a couple of blocks from Oakland's wonderful Chinatown.. (Also 
just 6 blocks from the Oakland Unitarian Church, in case you care

out of date, but you'll get a general feel for it.

My unit here is a spacious studio loft. with a double bed upstairs in 
my bedroom /office, and another downstairs in the greatroom.  (the 
two beds are visually, but not acoustically separate from one another).

Bapu is an  mellow 9-pound cuddler. He will happily sleep with you 
(or not if you prefer) and is very easy to take care of.   I have a 
wireless connection in my home and two computers, one laptop, one 
desktop you can use.  We have three common meals a week here, that 
you can join in, and you will find my neighbors welcoming.
