Dear Coho friends, I will be presenting a one day workshop on Sociocracy (Dynamic Self-Governance) March 17 in Amherst MA with a second day option on March 18. My cohousing community has been working by consensus for 12 years and does not meet my needs for efficiency or for effectiveness. I stumbled upon sociocracy several years ago and I am excited about what it offers for communities and organizations. If you are interested see workshop description below. Jerry Koch-Gonzalez Pioneer Valley Massachusetts Cohousing Community email: jerry at communicatingwithcompassion.org website: communicatingwithcompassion.org Workshop description: Beyond democracy: Is there an effective system of decision making and governance that values equality of power and is proven to work in businesses, nonprofits, social and political organizations? SOCIOCRACY DYNAMIC SELF-GOVERNANCE A NEW WAY TO ORGANIZE HOW WE LIVE AND WORK Sociocracy: governance by the ?socios? ? those who work together.
