Hi Joani,
I like your response a lot.
I differ, though, on one point - which is that I see the discussion on 
this
list as being appropriate and useful.  It's true that Earthhaven isn't 
a cohousing
community, but situations such as that can happen in cohousing, and are
very much worth thinking about.
