Disclaimer: This is just a web site I came across in my search to
learn more about building codes and how they restrict or help you
build an alternative dwelling. I'm not advocating you buy or believe

As an owner builder you will want a safe, durable house for all your efforts. The comments submitted below are listed by state, by individual. Each gave information to the best of their knowledge. Only a few counties are listed in each state. In addition there are comments here on the costs of permits. This will give you an overview of expected expenses in some areas.
