Just some more statistics. RoseWind Cohousing in Port Townsend WA, long 
built. 

We're mostly couples, from young couples with kids in the home, to retired 
couples. We also have 

4 single males
4 single females 

Add renters and we have, additionally,
2 single moms (who share a rental, and whose menfolk are sometimes around)
2 other single women, in housemate or ADU (apt in house) situation
2 single men, housemate or ADU 

Feels fairly equal.
And Sharon makes good points about why there ARE more women, etc.
