Hi Sharon, wonderful question! I'd love to track changes in policies as well. There's a field in the database for the year of the policy, and as I fill in a bit more information about each community, we'll be able to look at the age of the policy both in absolute terms (e.g. "1996") and in relative terms (e.g. "3 years after formation").

It'll probably take a bit of evolution before we have a really solid format for putting this in - some communities rewrite the entire policy, some make amendments, etc. so as we get more policies listed, we'll work to put them in a coherent format.

I'm also going to increase the quantity of information about each community that I capture, so that if we get enough policies we can do things like search by state/province.

Thanks for your interest and great suggestions.
Daniel

One question Daniel is what to do with superseded policies. When one
community changes their policy, the old one might still be of use to
others. I prefer the phrasing and format of a policy of outs that is
now 10 years old to any of the 3 following it. The individual
languages of the people who happen to be on that team have changed
several times.

Also it would build an archive to see policy changes over time.

Such an interesting and helpful project. Thank you!

Sharon
