8 people including myself have just made the decision to build 4 houses on a 
50-acre plot in upstate New York that currently has 1 house.  We plan to share 
it all (land, garden, livestock, machinery, etc.) and are in the beginning 
stages of discussing purchasing the land from a family friend. My question is- 
how do you purchase 1 plot with multiple owners or should we parcel the land?
