Our insurance broker said the D&O (directors and officers) insurance isn’t restricted to directors and officers, but applies to everyone volunteering on behalf of the association.
D&O doesn't cover anyone for accident. It's for people in positions of making decisions or taking actions that affect others. If your well-intended actions result in calamity you can be sued. That's what you need D&O for.
