If you're thinking about Portland, there's a (somewhat new?) non-profit
called "Villages NW" (villagesnw.org) which is meant to support aging in
place.  It has an annual fee, but looks like it would help provide some of
the things that might be beyond the scope of most cohousing communities.  I
know at least a couple of my neighbors at Daybreak Cohousing in Portland
are thinking of joining.  I don't know if there is anything like that in SW
Washington.
