We also built one similar to what Sandra described. It got used only a couple 
times and then gradually disintegrated. Now we have a big stone and concrete 
base witting in a valuable location that many of us think should be removed, 
but others think is a good thing all by itself, especially considering all the 
work that went into building it.

IMO, we did not have a good experience with our community cob oven.
