I also date back to the days of acoustic couplers, so I know whereof i
speak when I say:

Actually email is about the worst possible way to have discussions like
these.

The only thing good about it compared to technology designed specifically
for group discussion, like Reddit, is that it’s a push system (stuff just
arrived in my email box) rather than a pull system (I have to take action
to access the content like visit a website). But even that advantage is
lost if I’m someone who doesn’t use email regularly. In that case, it’s
just as much pull based as Facebook.

Or, as my kids would say, “Ok, Boomer.”
