To those on the list who are following the EV charging station
discussion, attached is a description of what Nevada City Cohousing is
planning—a six-station dedicated service. We already have 4 EVs for
the 34-units in our community and we are getting by with 2 EV chargers
presently using the honor system for payment. We’ll decommission
those and move the EVs to the six new staions on the new service.

It’s hard to predict the future and how many EV adopters we will
have over the next 10 years given the climate crisis, the
saber-rattling over Ukraine and COVID, but our analysis suggests that
6 chargers, wisely managed, will be sufficient for the coming decade.

Partial funding of the project is coming from the California Energy
Commission through their Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Project
(CALeVIP) (https://calevip.org/ <https://calevip.org/>).
