This is a fascinating out-of-the-box idea. Kansas is, unfortunately, rated 9th 
worst in safety for LGBTQ people, and outside of Kansas City, the state is 
overwhelmingly white. Kansas has a deeply racist history. I would not feel safe 
living in a rural area of Kansas, and I would also not choose to live in or 
raise my kids in a cohousing community without any LGBTQ people or people of 
color.
