Cohousing-L Mailing List: Gather vs Mosaic for tracking coho business

Bay State Cohousing is building in Malden, MA [outside of Boston], and we are 
looking at software products to manage community life, including meals, room 
reservations, directories, and possibly other things.  

We’re currently looking at Gather and Mosaic.  Our impression so far is that 
Gather is more polished and better staffed, Mosaic is free and does the job.   
Gather would allow us to integrate Wikis for the community, Mosaic would 
include an accounting system.  

If anyone has experience with either product, we’d appreciate hearing about it. 
 In addition to features, we’d like to know about product stability with new 
releases, customer support, and anything else that affects your experience.  If 
you’ve looked at these products and chosen something different, would be useful 
to hear about that, too.  

If you happen to see this before Saturday, 3/26, at 5 pm EDT, I’d be grateful 
if you would email me directly or text me with your response as well as posting 
it.  [We’re meeting today and I just managed to send this out.  I hope I’m not 
breaking Listserve rules.]  Later posts would be welcome too; we may not make 
the decision today.

If there has been a discussion about this before and someone can tell me how to 
find it, that would be great, too.
