Cohousing Foyer Security

Hello,

I am seeking advice on developing a policy to manage entry into our co-housing
structure by non-members such as visitors, caregivers and regulated and
unregulated workers employed by members.

The Urban Green Cohousing Cooperative<https://urbangreencohousing.ca> is a
4-storey, 26-unit, multi-generational, development located in a historic
district in south-central Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. We are scheduled to move
in this fall.

All our suites can be accessed via the main door which opens onto to the large
common room and dining area. All members will have two fobs. Visitors will be
required to buzz a particular suite for entry.

We are particularly struggling with articulating a policy for the following:

  * frequent access by support persons hired by suite owners while they are
away from home, i.e. housecleaners, nannies, dog-walkers
  * access to common area by mail carriers, UPS type delivery persons,
  * irregular access by tradespersons when owner is not home, i.e., home
improvement projects such as painting, installations, or repairs
  * regulating access by guests staying in guest suite
  * access by non-resident auxiliary members, supporters, contributors, etc.

I appreciate any suggestions/sample policies you can provide.
