Cohousing-L Mailing List: Finding Effective Support for a Treasury Team?

Over the past several years, our largely self-managed community has put 
together a capable team of volunteers who, under the direction and supervision 
of our treasurer (also a resident volunteer), handle all the day-to-day details 
of managing our financial affairs – entering deposits, paying bills, and so on. 
 This has made it possible for us to manage our affairs without the services of 
a hired bookkeeper.
 Looking ahead, however, we find it possible that we may need to hire a 
part-time consultant to work with our treasurer and the treasury team to ensure 
the smooth and responsible overall coordination of our books and financial 
affairs.
 We would appreciate hearing from other communities about their experience in 
arranging for limited but necessary assistance in managing their financial 
affairs.
