We've been using Slack for a few years, initially with the intent of using it for more "chatty" type discussions so our email wouldn't be so cluttered, but also to incorporate a "time-sensitive" channel for messages needing immediate attention. Unfortunatley, a subset of our residents refused to install the Slack app and the person who set up Slack who was supposed to help residents get themselves set up to receive the "time-sensitive" messages in their email or text message never did so. So now we have messages being posted to BOTH Slack and email, and no way to get urgent messages out to everyone in a way they reliably see them. *I'd be very curious to know if there's a way to configure a Slack channel to send an email or text message to a person who hasn't signed up for the service themselves in any way.* That would be a very useful feature for us.
