We use an intra-community Slack network, mostly for nonessential chat, but it has an “alert” channel configured so that any message posted in that channel is automatically sent to everyone’s email and as a text message to everyone’s phone. It can thus reach everyone quickly and reliably. (Typically we use it for rattlesnakes - someone reports a rattlesnake, and someone else says, I’m on it, and hurries to catch and relocate the snake outside our supposedly snakeproof fence. Yeah, Wild West stuff). If the convo continues longer than an alert and a response, it can be annoying, as everyone receives every response, but we are getting better at that.
