Thank you for your questions. You are asking the same questions that we had and found no answer to. As such we have installed two ip cameras in our garage after things were stolen. We capture every car that comes or goes from our underground garage. Here we are looking for people following cars in. We also capture people as they move around the parkade. I am the person who views the footage and I check about once a month just to make sure the cameras are still running. Other than a check to ensure we could see faces, when we were working in the parkade, we usually don't look at the footage. Of course, when there is a reason to look, we will pour over the footage to find the appropriate material to turn over. We have had cameras for a little over a year, so far so good. > > Question to other co-housing communities who might have cameras: how do > you address concerns about privacy and how do you decide when you view > footage if there is an "incident"?
