On August 20th, our forming cohousing group, Newt Crossing, will have a booth at our local All County Picnic, which has a theme of community resilience and emergency preparedness. Here's the event site: https://theproductionalliance.org/events/all-county-picnic
We want to showcase and discuss with people how cohousing in general helps its members be resilient and prepared for emergencies.
Here's the ask:Can folks send me brief bullet points on how your community helps its members (and maybe even non-cohousing neighbors) be resilient and prepared for emergencies? Covid is a great example - how were your members better off being in cohousing? Or other types of emergencies?
If someone wants to send longer anecdotes on this topic, that would be welcome.
I will put these all together in a binder that people can peruse to better understand how cohousing is indeed "high functioning neighborhoods."
Thank you, Eva Holm Newt Crossing https://www.newtcrossing.org/
