This week's episode of the Ralph Nader Radio Hour, titled "Financing Co-ops", was devoted to an interview with the CEO of the National Cooperative Bank. https://www.ralphnaderradiohour.com/p/financing-co-ops#details Housing co-ops are not the specific focus of the interview, but it is mentioned in passing that 60% of the loans given out by NCB fall into that category. On the "About US" page of the NCB website, it is noted that they gave out their first cohousing loan, $5.65M to Village Hearth in NC in 2019. https://www.ncb.coop/about-us/community-impact Mention was also made of associated lenders Capital Impact Partners ( https://www.capitalimpact.org/programs/co-op-innovation-awards/) and Rochdale Capital (https://www.rochdalecapital.org/borrow/who-we-serve). I've been monitoring this list serve since the beginning of this year, trying to learn what I can about cohousing for the benefit of groups forming in Louisville, Morehead, and Lexington, Kentucky, all of whom have attracted me to meetings, but none of whom are yet at the stage where they are looking for financing. But I know that there are others on this list that might find the above even more interesting than I do. Steve Katz Lexington, KY (859) 410-5755
