Hi Susan!

Raines Cohen provides a wonderful aging in community curriculum which
guides community members through all of the planning and decisions -- Power
of Attorney executed in advance for limited purposes, Wills, Trusts,
Advance Directives that require notifying the community, email reminders
requesting executor's contact info and location of important documents,
etc.

Of course, you likely also know that Chuck Durrett provides the wonderful
training for the Senior Cohousing facilitators and takes communities
through this planning as well. I imagined that someone has already chimed
in with this. And too, a local Will/Trusts Attorney could guide a group.

Once a core group goes through the planning curriculum, perhaps it can be
handled like a checklist with an automated annual reminder... ?

I would also assume that your CC&Rs have a resale disclosure clause, and
you can make that robust and perhaps attach your welcome booklet to the
registered CC&R so that any executor must provide this packet as a resale
disclosure to any potential seller. I imagine that is already done in your
community as well, but if not....

I'll be interested to learn other things communities have done.

Warm Regards,
Pare Gerou
