Hi all — In BLOOMBERG CITY LAB today: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2023-10-24/new-book-argues-weak-us-social-institutions-make-fragile-neighborhoods?cmpid=BBD102423_CITYLAB&utm_medium=email&utm_source=newsletter&utm_term=231024&utm_campaign=citylabdaily There is a raft of articles, books, studies out in the last 2 or more decades on the health of America’s neighborhoods and the relationship of people in these neighborhoods. Cohousing is an answer to so many of these warnings and issues. And, yet … yet we often seemed to be sidelined as an option. We get positive over the top exposure from institutions such as The NY Times, Urban Land Institute, Washington Post, etc. And … yet … cohousing has not caught hold except among a very small portion of the public even tho’ we know people are yearning for communities like cohousing. Thoughts? Best — Ann Zabaldo Takoma Village Cohousing Washington, DC Ex. Dir. & Mbr.
