Cohousing-L Mailing List: Looking for examples of software coho use to manage community

Hello
I'm part of Woodard cohousing in Olympia WA. I offered to ask around for 
examples of software (open source or for purchase) to determine whether other 
coho have solved a way to efficiently manage complex common house calendars, 
finances, meals, etc? We're hoping to avoid re-inventing the wheel if a 
solution already exists.

Woodard community uses a very old system which only one person knows how to 
edit and it doesn't easily work across devices and has other problems that are 
not user friendly. The ONLY benefit to the current site is that it's free.


  1.  What does your community use for scheduling, etc?
  2.  Is it proprietary?
  3.  What are the pros/cons of using it?
  4.  Do you have multiple people who can edit and manage and backup the system 
if it crashes?
