To respond to Richard (apologies, I don't have the original message
anymore), yes, I am actually very interested in renting an
apartment at a community. I currently own a condo in the Seattle area and
I'm planing to retire to Western Massachusetts in September. I've
researching both co-housing and retirement communities and have been asking
retirement communities if they have rentals (it's rare).

If a co-housing community has a rental, I'd be very interested. I can't buy
right now because I have to update my current condo after I move out, and
then sell it so I have the cash to invest in some kind of community. I also
want to get to know the area before I make a final decision on where I want
to buy.

If anyone is in Western Massachusetts, especially the Northampton area,
