Heartwood Commons Tulsa -- a cohousing community in Tulsa, Oklahoma -- is delighted to announce that we received our first certificates of occupancy today! After seven years of planning and three years of construction, we will start closing on homes next week. Move-ins will begin in a few weeks. Heartwood Commons is a 55+ community consisting of 36 single-story cottages and a common house clustered around an open green space. Tulsa is a lively, progressive small city with an outsize cultural, arts, music, international, and LGBTQ+ scene and amazing architecture. Many of our members moved to Tulsa after being priced out of the east and west coasts and love it here. Our community is a ten-minute drive from two different Whole Foods stores and a Trader Joe’s. (That’s my personal metric for an acceptable level of civilization.) Check us out! We still have a few available units. We have reached our required quota of 55+ owners, so we welcome inquiries from younger prospective members. Katie Henry Heartwood Commons - Tulsa https://www.heartwoodcommonstulsa.com/ p.s. Thanks to our cohousing professionals and friends from other communities who have provided support and wisdom during this long and challenging process.
